Thanks to everyone who came to the Matchless show on Oct. 11th, it was a great success.

Baby Teardrops have an album in the can, essentially. A few bells and whistles here and there, and we don't really know how it's going to come out yet, but we aim to have an actual cd out for purchase, of the three of us playing together as Baby Teardrops, before the end of the year for heaven's sake.

Zombie Prom on Oct. 30 is the big news next. We probably won't be booking any more performance through November and December in an effort to write and learn new material, and center ourselves.

Sincerely,
-Matthew and the Teardrops

Thanks to everyone who came out to the Anthem In cd release show at Galapagos.

It was a wonderful turnout. It was also great to be in touch with so many folks trying to get people out, thanks for your kindly correspondence.

This summer, we have a number of great shows planned, the next of which is happening July 9th with our friends Going Gone at Galapagos.

Various teardrops will be skipping town from time to time this summer, but we remain focused on laying the groundwork for recording our next album, and we anticipate a late summer/early fall recording.

To clarify if need be, the album is available on iTunes for $9.90, and I think you can get it on other e-commerce sites for a price, but you can also continue to get it here, in its entirety for free. Apologies if this has caused any frustration for anyone. Of course, if you've already downloaded the album free here, and wish to go back and purchase through iTunes, feel free.

I wore a suit for our last show, and it felt nice. I haven't yet decided if it will be permanent show costume.

Be in touch with e-mailing, and please continue to refer people to the band, to the album.

I hope soon to have some other freebie tracks up on the site.

Be very well,
-Matthew/Baby Teardrops

Thank you all for coming to check out the Baby Teardrops website.

Please continue to download the album and pass the link along to friends who might want to download it as well. And if you can, download that banner and post it to your MySpace or blog or website.

The band is a three piece, and we are settling in for our first full summer together as a set band with a shared vision.

Gerry, Megan and I are writing music together, in anticipation of recording the next Baby Teardrops album. From the way things are going now, this is bound to be a project of new dimensions, as everyone has their input to put in.

It's been a while since we played a show, and there's a big one coming up on June 20th, Friday, at Galapagos. It's the Anthem In cd release show, along with the debut of Great Big Pile of Leaves. We play early, first at 8pm, and then the other two, with an after party at Supreme Trading. Please come down and check this show out.

We've discussed a number of options for Banged In The Heart. It may come out as a cd, it may become available for sale from another source. As of now, it remains free from this site. You can also buy it from iTunes if you want to.

Check the MySpace page for more regular updates on upcoming shows, and be in touch with us, friends and allies.

Be well,

Matthew

Greetings, and welcome to the new Baby Teardrops website! Doesn't it look very nice?! Thank you so much to Allen Orr of Anthem In for all his hard work in erecting this for us.

BANGED IN THE HEART IS OUT!!! We hope you can adore it a bit. And PLEASE: GIVE IT AWAY TO EVERYONE YOU KNOW!!! Tell everyone you know about the album, about the band.

PLEASE, download the banner tab and embed it on your MySpace page, or wherever people can get see it and click through and get the album.

We want as many people as possible to hear BANGED IN THE HEART.

April 23rd marks the release of the album, which was recorded back in August with Ellis Traver at his LOITER studios, thank you so much Ellis. We're very happy with how the album turned out. The band had only been together for just over a month when we went into the studio, without a permanent drummer. Many thanks to Mike Myers who flew out from Kansas City, after having learned the songs from the demo, to lay down a solid foundation over which we were to frolic.

More thank yous!

Many thanks to Brian Seitz, whose decided to leave NYC. We may have blacked you out of the photos, but it wasn't out of anger. We just didn't want to falsely advertise. Brian was incredibly responsible, and integral in getting the band off the ground.

Thank you so much to the Delancey. Dana, allowing the band to book a four-band-bill monthly residency there has given us a terrific opportunity. We've met so many cool folks, and seen such great acts. I couldn't be more pleased about how that idea panned out. The April 24th show is our last in this consecutive string.

Thank you so much to the aforementioned cool folks and bands. A support network of supporters is instrumental in getting a new band off the ground, pun intended but perhaps not very rewarding.

Thank you, for your continued passionate attention, we hope you enjoy the tunes.
